Parul Deora Somani

Parul's passion for dancing began at the age of three when she started training in Bharatanatyam, an Indian classical dance form. After training for over 10 years, she expanded her dance repertoire by learning North Indian Rajasthani folk dancing in Jaipur, India. While in college, Parul performed in a hip-hop troupe, choreographed Bollywood dances, and co-founded and choreographed for MIT Chamak, the school's South Asian fusion dance team. After college, Parul focused on learning Bhangra, a North Indian Punjabi folk dance. While at the Harvard Business School, she choreographed for the Bhangra team, was an active member of the HBS Dance Club, and performed Bhangra, Bollywood, and Hip-Hop dances at various shows. She has also taken classes in Afro-Caribbean, Salsa, and Middle-Eastern dance.
